KICKBOXING

Kickboxing is a standing martial art that incorporates punches, kicks, and other strikes. The kickboxing classes taught at Four Elements are based in principles of Chinese kickboxing (San Shou) and Thai Kickboxing (Muay Thai).

KICKBOXING (ALL LEVELS)

All levels welcome, from beginner to advanced. This class teaches striking techniques including punches, kicks, elbows and knees. Students will practice alone and with partners. Striking will mainly be done on pads or bags, with occasional interactive drills. There is no sparring in this class. Loaner boxing gloves available, or bring your own.

ADVANCED PAD TRAINING (INVITE ONLY)

Instructor approval is required to attend. Students will practice free-form and advanced kickboxing pad drills. The class is designed to complement the all-levels class that comes after it, and it would work well to do both classes back-to-back for those who desire. To qualify for this class, students must demonstrate the ability to hold pads for common kickboxing combinations.

ADVANCED KICKBOXING DRILLS (INVITE ONLY)

Instructor approval is required to attend. This class includes interactive sparring drills and light-contact sparring, as well as grappling drills from San Shou (Chinese kickboxing). Interested students should attend the all-levels kickboxing classes and speak to the instructor.
