GRAPPLING
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a ground-based grappling sport incorporating the strategic application of chokes and joint locks. BJJ doubles as a great way to build basic self-defense skills and calm self-confidence. Our grappling curriculum consists of gi (uniform) and no-gi (plain-clothes) Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. We have gi's (the traditional BJJ uniform also known as a kimono) available to rent for new and forgetful students.
A typical class consists of a warmup routine, instruction for 2-3 new techniques, and partner drilling. Classes end with optional sparring.
FUNDAMENTAL GI BJJ (ALL LEVELS)
Designed for new students — this class features fundamental lessons and techniques of basic BJJ theory. This class is open to all students.

ADVANCED GI BJJ (COLORED BELTS OR INVITE)
Take a more in-depth look into the principles and techniques of BJJ.
Situational attacks, transitions, escapes and strategies are explored, in addition to a strong emphasis on instinctual application through live sparring. This class is open to all BJJ colored belts; white belts must have instructor approval to attend.
NO-Gi BJJ (ALL LEVELS)
"No-Gi" is practiced without the "gi" (the official BJJ uniform also known as a kimono), and holding onto or choking with fabric is not permitted. Students wear gi pants, spats, leggings, or grappling shorts, and rash guards or tight fitting, moisture wicking t-shirts to these classes. Loose clothing or tank tops that reveal the shoulders are not recommended. This class is open to all students.
